Mahalo to my fellow Mana Loa Nimitz Lions Club community volunteers who started out early Saturday morning to clean up and beautify Aiea Stream by Halewiliko Place in Aiea.

MLNLC community volunteers led by Dexter Aoki, racked up and bagged tree leaves, cleared out overgrown weeds and grass along the sidewalks and street curbs, trimmed and bagged tree branches, and picked up rubbish in the area. The MLNLC community service workday project started at 6:45am and was completed by 8:15am.

The past couple of days has been a very humbling, honored, and rewarding experience for me as I was installed on Friday as the 2024-2025 President for the Rotary Club of Pearlridge in a ceremony held at the Pearl City Shopping Center Conference Room, followed by Saturday mornings Mana Loa Nimitz Lions Club community service project at the Aiea Stream.

This is an exciting time to be a Hawaii Rotarian and Lion serving both the Aiea and Pearl City communities.

Have a nice weekend and a Happy 4th of July!
