Anthony Bautista pumped in 28 points to lead the Pearl City Chargers over the visiting Waialua Bulldogs 60-39 last night in Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division Varsity Basketball played at Pearl City High School. The Chargers took a commanding 42-23 lead at the half and never looked back.
Bautista played an outstanding ball game scoring 28 points which included a 3-pointer and hitting 9/10 from the free throw line. Waialua’s Jayvie Arellano led the Bulldogs with 16 points.
Pearl City pulled even at 1-1 in league play, 3-9 overall. Waialua is winless at 0-2 in league play, 1-6 overall.
Both teams return to league play on Saturday, December 30:
Pearl City to host Waipahu
Waialua to host Waianae
