With time running out on the game clock in the fourth quarter, Pearl City sophomore guard Malakai Bello drained a deep corner, three-pointer to carry the Pearl City Chargers over the visiting Waialua Bulldogs last night in OIA Western Division Boys Junior Varsity Basketball.
The Bulldogs had a 29-28 lead coming out of a Pearl City time-out with 4.3 seconds left on the game clock. The Chargers worked the ball to Malakai in the corner where he launched the game winning 3-point shot.
It was an amazing finish and home win for Charger Head Coach Marc Suniga and his Chargers.
