Last Thursday, April 13, I had a neat opportunity to attend the 2023 Chargerpalooza that showcased Charger student projects from the three PCHS College & Career Academies: Academy of Culinary Arts, Health Sciences, & Leadership; Academy of International Building & Design; Academy of Technology & Design. The community was invited to the PCHS campus where the students presented their projects at THE MIKE courtyard.
The students represented their respective academies with incredible projects that were insightful, educational, innovative, environmentally sustainable, and with health oriented services and information. One of my favorites was the PACE Pallet Punters project where students crafted beautiful, functional furniture. A true work of art with each piece that was on display at the Chargerpalooza Chargers Showcase.
Guests also enjoyed a few songs performed by the PCHS Choir. They were awesome and had a lot of fun while signing their hearts out to an appreciative Charger ohana audience.
Mahalo for the invitation to attend this wonderful and inspiring event that truly showcased the future and potential of each Pearl City High School Academies student.
GO CHARGERS!
