Congratulations to the Pearl City Chargers who defeated the Leilehua Mules 10-1 in OIA Western Division I Baseball this afternoon at Wahiawa Middle School.
Pearl City won their third game in a row in second round play. The Chargers outhit the Mules 14-5 led by Zechariah Takahashi who batted 4-4 with a triple, double, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored. Kenta Kawasaki 3-4, double, RBI, 3 runs scored; Devin Fujino 2-3, 3 RBI, 2 runs scored who had solid performances at the plate for the Chargers.
Eli Oshiro picked up second win in row in the second round for the Chargers pitching 3 innings while allowing 1 run, 3 hits, with 3 strikeouts. Jayden Mizuno and Devin Won shut down the Mules in relief for the Chargers.
Bryden Takayama took the loss for the Mules pitching 5 innings while allowing 5 runs, 8 hits with 3 strikeouts.
