Kapaa advanced to the 2022-23 HHSAA State Division II Girls Basketball Championship Playoff Semifinals after overwhelming Pearl City 68-14 in the championship tournament quarterfinals yesterday in Hilo.
Kapaa’s 54-point margin of victory over Pearl City was led by Olivia Malafu pumping in 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Aiesha DeWeever led the Chargers in scoring with 6 points.
Kapaa will take on Hawaii Baptist Academy in today’s semifinal round, while Pearl City will play HPA in the 5th place semifinals.
