The Pearl City Chargers defeated the Waialua Bulldogs last night 22-17 at Toshiyuki Nakasone Stadium on the campus of Waialua High School. The Charger improved to 4-2 (league) and 4-3 overall). The Bulldogs fell to 2-4 (league, overall).
Pearl City QB Sefo Feesago continued his stellar senior season passing for 227 yards, completing 18 of 26 with 3 touchdowns and no interceptions. Joshua Gleason was on the receiving end of Feesago’s air attack taking top honors as the game’s leading receiver catching 8 passes for 129 yards and 1 touchdown.
Bradley Kansou caught 6 passes for 52 yards and 1 touchdown and Marcus Rodriguez halled in 2 passes for 29 yards and 1 touchdown.
Caleb Kaai led the Chargers ground game with 71 yards on 13 carries.
Tyson Apau led the Bulldog offence passing for 143 yards completing 15 of 29 with 1 interception. Apau also caught 1 pass for 57 yards. Blazen Benz completed 2 of 9 passes for 57 yards.
Ezekiel Sheridan rushed 8 times for 66 yards and 1 touchdown and Blazen Benz gained 14 yards on 4 carries with 1 touchdown. The Bulldogs also scored on a first quarter 35 yard field goal by Lassen Stolten.
The Chargers kept their playoff hopes alive with the win over the Bulldogs, but will need some help down the stretch with 2 games remaining on their regular schedule. The Chargers finish out the season against the McKinley Tigers on Friday, December 3 and against the Kalani Falcons on Friday, December 10.
