With gratitude and profound spirit of giving back to the Pearl City community, the Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association presented Lehua Elementary and Palisades Elementary with cash donations of $1000.00 on Friday.
Each year, two Pearl City Complex Elementary Schools receive $1000.00 donations from the PCSC Merchants Association. The cash donations rotate annually between the eight elementary schools in the complex. Since 2011, the Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association has provided more than $22,000 in donations to the complex elementary schools in support of their financial needs.
I was truly honored on Friday as a Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association board member to be joined by President Shawn Sablan, who is also the General Manager of Chuck E. Cheese Restaurant as he shared his appreciation and thanks to those who make a difference in our schools and community.
”I always enjoy the opportunity to say thank you to the community that has been supporting not only the Pearl City Shopping Center, but also the many business that call this shopping center home. That enjoyment is always doubled when we're able to say thank you to the schools, teachers, and faculty that play such an important role on how this community continues to develop.”

The 10 schools that make up the Pearl City Complex are blessed with talented and inspiring spirited leadership that is being challenged by the very difficult task of finding ways to overcome the hardships that affect the core of school operations during the COVID-19 pandemic. They are all extremely grateful for any help that comes their way from the community and are thankful for the Aloha extended to their school ohana.
