Sunday, September 13, 2020 – WALK, STOP, SHAVE ICE

Sep 13, 2020 | PC Community

Got up early this morning and went for walk to get some exercise. I haven't been able to do that for about a year because of a few health issues. Wow, I don’t think that I have ever been this out of shape.

After my walk, I decided to spend a little time at the intersection of Kamehameha Highway and Waimano Home Road in Pearl City to monitor red light violators and the danger that they pose to other motorists and pedestrians. Wow, they were running red lights at every light change with no regard for public safety and even for themselves and the occupants in their vehicles.

“It’s Not All Right To Run The Red Light” is a traffic safety campaign that I created a few years ago to bring awareness with regard to traffic safety issues in our community by reaching out to students K-12 in our Pearl City Complex Schools. I am on a mission to once again bring the “It’s Not All Right To Run The Red Light” message of traffic safety awareness back to our community with the hope that it will spread and expand statewide.

Okay, my day got a lot better this afternoon with a visit to Haleiwa to check out Kula Shave Ice North Shore. The shave ice is really good. You place your order and they deliver it to your car. Pretty cool stuff (no pun intended). Highly recommend it. It’s worth the journey to the North Shore!

Thanks and have a safe day…
