Chargers shut out Tigers 33-0

Pearl City pulled even at 1-1 in OIA D2 regular season play (1-2 overall) after blanking McKinley 33-0 last night at the Chargers Edwin Bino Neves Stadium. McKinley fell to 0-2 in league play, 0-3 overall.

Charger QB Makana Canyon threw for 219 yards completing 14 of 23 passes with 2 touchdowns.

PC Receiving:
Isaiah Cruz-Amerperosa 5 catches , 83 yards, touchdown; Joshua Gleason 2 catches, 74 yards; Preston Hong 3 catches, 66 yards, touchdown.

PC Rushing:
Ali'i Gaspar 15 rushes, 89 yards, touchdown; Makana Canyon 4 rushes 38 yards; Rastin Tobosa 3 rushes, 18 yards; Victor Atkins touchdown

PC Defense:
Nu'usegi Afoa recorded 1 sack and a fumble recovery; Tristen Mckinney 1 sack.

Kicking:
Landon Chang kicked fields of 27 and 29 yards.

Pearl City returns to action on Friday, August 23 at home against Kalaheo. Kick off TBA.
