BOWS SWEEP CHARGERS 3-0 TO ADVANCE TO STATE D2 SEMIFINALS

University Lab earned their way into today's HHSAA State D2 Boys Volleyball Championship Tournament Semifinals after defeating Pearl City last night in the quarterfinals; 25-21, 25-21, 25-21 at Kalani High School.

Isaiah Kalama-Izumi led the Bows with 11 kills, Sonny Tofi led all scorers with 14 kills for the Chargers.

The Bows will take on #2 Kapaa tonight at 5:00pm in the first match of the semifinal doubleheader at St. Francis High School. Kapaa defeated Hawaii Prep to advance to tonight's semifinals.

#1 St. Francis will take on #4 Seabury in the doubleheader nightcap at 7:00pm. St.Francis swept Nanakuli 3-0, and Seabury defeated Makua Lani 3-1 last night to advance to the semifinals.

The Chargers will play Hawaii Prep in the 5th place semifinals tonight at Kalani High School with tip-off set for 6:30pm.
