Campbell 7th inning rally puts away Pearl City 7-1

Campbell ran past Pearl City 7-1 on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 in OIA Western Division varsity baseball played at Pearl City High School.

Campbell rallied for four runs in the top of the seventh inning to open up a six run lead. Dayton Robinson earned the win for the Sabers. Devin Hayashi took the loss for the Chargers.

Varen Sabino batted 1-4 with a double and 3 RBI for the Sabers. Bryden Malama went 1-2 with a double, RBI and run scored.

Joshua Aribal and Joey Casarez both hit triples to lead the Chargers at the plate. Casarez drove in Trevor Yoneyama in the bottom of the 5th inning with his RBI triple for the Chargers single run of the ball game. Yoneyama batted 1-3 with a run scored.

The Chargers fell to 0-4 in the league standings while the Sabers improved to 3-1.

Pearl City travels to Aiea to take on the Na Ali'i on Saturday with first pitch scheduled for 11:00am. Campbell will host Mililani on Saturday at 6:30pm.

Joey Casarez slammed a RBI triple in the bottom of the third inning

that scored Trevor Yoneyama for the Chargers only run of the ball game.
