Pearl City bowlers battle in defense of state championship titles at Leeward Bowl

Defending State Individual Bowling Champion Kristopher Yadao led his Pearl City Chargers, the 6X Defending State Boys Championship Bowling team  to the top rankings in both the individual and team standings after Day 1 at the Billy Tees HHSAA State Bowling Championships held at Leeward Bowl in the Pearl City Shopping Center.

Yadao rolled a 2-round, 6-game series high of 1336 to take the top spot in the individual rankings heading into tomorrow's round-3 finals. Charger teammate Imi Nakamura sits in second place behind Yadao after rolling a 6-game series of 1226. The Charger Boys are ranked #1 in the team standings after 2-rounds with a total pin count of 5501. Kapolei is in second place with a 2-round total of 5149.

The 5X Billy Tees HHSAA State Bowling Champion Pearl City Lady Chargers are currently competing in the second round of Day 1 at Leeward Bowl. Round 2 is scheduled to finish at 9:15pm.  Round 1 & 2 individual and team results will follow.
