Waipio blasts past Pearl City 10-0

Waipio blasted past Pearl City 10-0 after four innings of play in the Hawaii State Majors Little League District 7 Championship Tournament played at Central Oahu Regional Park (CORP) in Waipio on Sunday, July 5.

Kaiwi Winchester earned the win for Waipio.

Alex Armenti drove in Hunter Sasaki and Vincent Ogasawara with runs 9 and 10 that forced the 10-run rule in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Anu Reis hit a 2-run homerun for Waipio in the bottom of second inning.

Waipio moves on to the championship game scheduled for Tuesday, July 7, 4pm at CORP. Pearl City will play the winner of yesterday's loser's bracket game between Waipahu vs.Ewa this afternoon, 4pm at CORP.

Waipio's Anu Reis powered a 2-run homerun to centerfield in the bottom

of the second inning that drove in Trey Apana-Purcell. Waipio scored six

runs on five hits in the inning to take an 8-0 lead after two complete.
