Traffic Updates for H-1 motorists
HDOT advises Oahu motorists that lane closures currently in-progress on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction.
Tuesday (01/13/15).
- One (1) Right Lane closed, H1 Westbound, after Waimalu On-ramp to Farrington Highway Overpass, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.
Wednesday (01/14/15)
- One (1) Right Lane closed, H1 Westbound, after Waimalu On-ramp to Farrington Highway Overpass, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.
Thursday (01/15/15)
- One (1) Right Lane closed, H1 Westbound, after Waimalu On-ramp to Farrington Highway Overpass, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.
Friday (01/16/15)
- One (1) Right Lane closed, H1 Westbound, after Waimalu On-ramp to Farrington Highway Overpass, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.
The lane closures are necessary for repairs to the concrete deck of the Pearl City Viaduct. Crews began pouring concrete at 11 p.m. on Saturday night with a three-lane closure and reduced it to two lanes following the pour activities at 3 a.m. Sunday morning. The curing process is continuing, but the concrete has strengthened adequately to allow for the opening of an additional lane.
Motorists are still advised to drive slowly through the area to minimize negative vibration effects on the concrete during the curing process. Westbound motorists are advised to adjust their schedules, expect delays and to use alternate routes such as Kamehameha Highway and Moanalua Road.
