Pearl City High School Compost Sale, Saturday, January 10th, starting at 9:00am

Submitted by Mindy Jaffe, owner, Waikiki Worm Company:

The next batch of organic, nutrient-rich cafeteria compost has been harvested and is ready again to enrich Oahu's gardens, lawns, landscaping and potted plants.  As you know, we get gardeners schlepping out to Pearl City from all over Oahu for this incredible soil, dubbed “Pearl City’s Finest” by Fran Butera of Foodscapes Hawaii.  This is the material created 2nd semester last year from lunch waste generated January to June.  It looks even more spectacular than the last batch.

A packed 5-gallon bucket is $10.  Buy ten buckets, and the 11th is free.

We will be ably assisted at the sale site by the students from the Deaf & Hard of Hearing Program, to whom the proceeds will go.
