Pearl City Elementary receives $1000 donation from Pearl City Shopping Center

The Pearl City Shopping Center (PCSC) Merchants Association presented Pearl City Elementary School with a donation of 10 – $100 PCSC Gift Certificates on Wednesday, September 10 in a presentation ceremony held in the school administration office.

PCSC Merchants Association Board members Sheri Rolf and Shawn Taniguchi handed Principal Dr. Susan Hirokane and faculty staff member Robyn Andrade, along with a group of students with the PCSC gift certificates donation that totaled over $1000.00. The donation will help the school offset school expenses for different activities throughout the school year.

“We’re very grateful for the support of the Pearl City Shopping Center because our Western Association Accreditation is coming up soon," said Principal Hirokane. “This donation will be very helpful during the two and a half day accreditation to use to help support the evaluators.”

Pearl City Elementary School is the first of two Pearl City District Complex elementary schools who will receive a $1000 PCSC gift certificate donation during the 2014-2015 school year. Kanoelani Elementary School is also scheduled to receive a donation.

The Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association is committed in supporting our Pearl City schools and students through annual contributions that reach our elementary schools, Highlands Intermediate School, and Pearl City High School.
