Campbell defeated Pearl City 4-3 in OIA Red West Division Varsity Softball on Thursday at Pearl City High School.
Campbell improved their league record to 8-3. Pearl City falls to 4-7.
The Lady Sabers broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the sixth inning scoring three runs to take a 4-1 lead over the Lady Chargers. In the bottom of the sixth, the Lady Chargers pushed across two runs that was sparked by Kristin Frost's RBI triple.
Campbell starting pitcher Elisa Favela earned the win for the Lady Sabers. Favela pitched seven complete innings allowing three runs on four hits with seven strikeouts and three walks.
Tyanna ‘Peanut Butter” Kaaialii took the loss for the Lady Chargers in relief of starter Kristin Frost. Kaaialii pitched three innings allowing three runs on six hits with one strikeout and a walk.
Lady Chargers starting pitcher Kristin Frost pitched four complete innings, in a no decision, allowing one run on four hits with one strikeout and a walk.
Campbell’s Titania Akiona-Pasion batted 2-4, RBI, Run for the Lady Sabers. Caragh Morris went 2-4. Campbell hitters pounded out ten hits against Pearl City pitchers.
Kristin Frost led the Lady Chargers at the plate hitting 2-3 with a triple, RBI, and one run scored.
Pearl City also celebrated “Senior Day” on Thursday, sending off five Lady Chargers as they played in the last regular season home game of their careers.
