Pearl City overpowers Farrington 19-5 in OIA Girls Water Polo

Pearl City proved to be too much for a gutsy Farrington squad to handle as the Lady Chargers powered their way to a 19-5 victory over the Lady Governors on Saturday in OIA Bracket A Varsity Girls Water Polo played at Kaimuki High School.

It was a complete reversal of fortune for Pearl City when compared to last Saturday's 19-3 loss to league leading Kahuku. Once again the Lady Chargers were faced with the task of competing with a depleted bench that forced most the their starters to stay in the pool.  The Lady Chargers played well and executed as a team while spreading the wealth amongst their scorers against the Lady Governors.

Chiemi Trias was the top performer on offense for the Lady Chargers with four goals followed by; Kylie Hong 3, Taylor Ganeko 3, Arianna Oshiro 3, Stacey Agustin 2, Kyli Williams 2, Angel Maikui-Jenks 1 and Jacqueline  Kim 1.

Chelsea Amina 2, Alijah Lau 2 and Amber Peltieer 1 rounded out the Lady Governors scoring.

Pearl City improved to 3-2 in league play while Farrington fell to 1-5.

The Lady Chargers return to the pool on Wednesday, March 27 against Castle at 3:30pm at CORP.
