Pearl City poised to defend 2011 OIA JV Football Championship

The Pearl City Chargers fought their way to a 14-9 semifinal victory over Kaiser in the 2012 Oahu Interscholastic Association White Division Junior Varsity Football Championships on Saturday, October 20 at Kaiser High School.

The Chargers will defend their 2011 OIA White Division Junior Varsity Football Championship against the Nanakuli Golden Hawks on Saturday, November 3 (Site TBA). 

Nanakuli defeated Radford 40-27 on Friday, October 19 to advance to the championship game against Pearl City.

Pearl City takes a perfect 7-0 record into the championship game. First year Chargers Head Coach Robin Kami will guide his high powered offense and stingy, hard hitting defense against the Golden Hawks. The Chargers defeated Nanakuli 41-27 on August 31 during the regular season.

Two way starters Jordan Taamu (QB/WR/FS), and Dominic Maneafaiga ((WR/LB), will be called upon to lead the Charger towards winning back-to-back OIA Championships.

Pearl City captured the 2011 OIA White Division Junior Varsity Football Championship with a 43-18 win over Waipahu.
