The Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association continued their support of our Pearl City District Complex Schools on Friday with a donation of $1000.00 in PCSC gift certificates presented to Palisades Elementary School.
Representing the Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association was George Cochard from Rolf Advertising who handed Principal Suzanne Yamada, 10 – $100 gift certificates during the school’s welcome-back-to-school assembly held in the school cafeteria.

Jackie Dulatre from Chuck E. Cheese Restaurant located in the Pearl City Shopping Center, brought along Chuck E. Cheese, in person, much to the delight of the entire student body. They screamed out his name chanting, “Chuck E. Cheese” as the iconic mascot made his way around the cafeteria shaking hands with students from kindergarten through the sixth grade.
The donation to Palisades Elementary School is the first of two presentations scheduled for the 2012-2013 school year by the Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association to a deserving Pearl City elementary school. A presentation to Lehua Elementary School is scheduled for August 24, 2012.
Each year, the very generous donation of 10 – $100 PCSC gift certificates from the Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association rotates between the eight elementary schools (two schools per year) in the Pearl City District Complex. The donations afford the schools an opportunity to add much needed funds to their annual school budgets. It helps them purchase school supplies, equipment, fund school social events, awards presentations, and class fundraisers.
The PCSC gifts certificates can be redeemed by the schools at participating Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants.
