Hawaii Fire Fighters and their families volunteered on Sunday, September 1, 2013 to collect donations in support of the annual "Fill the Boot" fundraiser to benefit the Hawaii Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Volunteers lined intersections across the state, with their work boots in hand, asking motorists to "Fill the Boot" with cash donations that will make its way directly to the MDA to help seek treatments and cures for neuromuscular diseases.
The group of volunteers led by our local Fire Fighters positioned themselves along Kamehameha Highway fronting the Pearl City Shopping Center and at the intersection of Kamehameha Highway and Waimano Home Road to collect donations.
Mahalo to the Pearl City community for their generous support of the Fire Fighters and the MDA as they continue on their fight against Muscular Dystrophy.
