The Pearl City Chargers have turned their fortunes around in the second round of the 2025 Oahu Interscholastic Association Baseball regular season after defeating the visiting Campbell Sabers 5-4 on Wednesday to run their win streak to three in a row.
So far in the second round of play, the Chargers have avenged first round losses to Aiea and Campbell. The Chargers broke a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the seventh inning to go up 5-4 and defeat the Sabers.
Chase Lau picked up the win for the Chargers in relief pitching 2 complete innings while allowing no runs, no hits with 1 strikeout. Jase Lorenzo got the start for the Chargers pitching 2.3 innings while allowing 3 runs, 5 hits, with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. Kawika Mendoza pitched 2.6 innings in relief of Lorenzo allowing 1 run, 3 hits, 1 walk and 2 strikeouts.
Issac Lemos took the loss for the Sabers in relief allowing 1 run, 2 hits with 1 strikeout. Vaden Sabino got the start for the Sabers.
