By Barry Villamil, President, Rotary Club of Pearlridge
Mahalo to Pearl City High School Rotary Interact Club President Tazekiel Gaoteote for inviting me, current Rotary Club of Pearlridge (RCOP) President/Interact Director and RCOP Past President/Past District 5000 Governor Dick Mosko to their club meeting on Friday, March 7.
President Gaoteote led the club meeting on Friday to discuss 4th quarter school and community service projects. Dick and I presented a couple Spring community volunteer service projects that we will be participating in April 2025.
The first project is the 4th Annual Pearl City Easter Egg Hunt (600 keiki) which is scheduled for Saturday, April 12 at the Momilani Community Center in Pearl City, and the second project is the Annual Honolulu City & County Pearl Harbor Bike Path Clean up scheduled for Saturday, April 19.
The PCHS Interact Club will also be volunteering soon in a project that will benefit the Pearl City Public Library.
Friday’s invitation to attend and guest speak was a great opportunity to check in with PCHS Interact Club Officers and members, as well as Advisor Mr. Dane Souza. They are once again experiencing another productive and rewarding year of service.
We are so proud of them and are looking forward to serving our community together in the 4th quarter of the 2024-2025 school year.
