The Pearl City Chargers remained undefeated at 6-0 and atop the Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division Junior Varsity Baseball league standings with a 2-0 shutout win over the visiting Mililani Trojans on Thursday at Pearl City High School.
Pearl City starting pitcher Imipono Kala was the master on the mound for the Chargers while exhibiting total control of his repertoire of pitches that limited the Trojans battery from reaching the base paths and off the scoreboard. Kala pitched six complete innings with Ian Wickland coming in to close out the ball game in the top of the seventh inning.
