The visiting Aiea Na Ali’i overcame a 3-2 second half deficit scoring two goals late in the game to get past the Pearl City Chargers last night 4-3 in Oahu Interscholastic Association Boys Western Division Soccer played at Pearl City High School’s Edwin Bino Neves Stadium.
The Na Ali’i came out fast against the Chargers scoring two goals within the first five minutes of the contest. The Chargers came back scoring three unanswered goals before the Na Ali’i tied the game at 3-3 on a goal at 17:20 of the second half followed by the game winning goal by Sye Sandobal to put the Na Ali’I up 4-3 and take the lead with 8:37 left on the game clock.
Connor Costa (2) and Manoa Monteiro (1) scored Pearl City goals.
It was another classic Pearl City (2-5) and Aiea (5-2) match-up with both teams going in different directions in OIA West Division league standings.

Pearl City hosts Waianae (1-4-2) on Friday, January 3
