The HHSAA State Title cant be earned without Coaches , Parents and PC Boosters! putting in their time during season practices , supporting matches and feeding our kids.
PCHS Girls legendary coach Millie Gomes just earned her 8th State title, tying her with the winningest PCHS bowling coach Jimmy Hiyashi. WOW !
Coach Millie is already a well respected bowling coach in Hawaii, but getting to watch her coach season after season by her side for the last 10 years, it’s amazing how she wins championship after championship. some would say her teams through the years are stacked with good players. but so far from the truth.
She takes non bowlers to become decent bowlers, combining them with season bowlers that win Championships year after year. Coach Millie gives everything she has to her girls and the PCHS program. She has the recipe to win State titles and if you get a chance ask her. CONGRATULATION Coach Millie!
PCHS Boys Coach Tony Madrona earned his second HHSAA State Boys title. With this title it completes the season Triple crown or Trifecta for the second time since taking over the Head coach duties. He continues to learn more about bowlings, ever changing technology with bowling balls and Sport patterns.
Coach Tony is always up to challenge our kids on and off the lanes. He feels his winning success is the success of our kids in the classroom. Thank you PCHS boys bowling team for trusting and believing in me as your coach.
Thank you Asst Coach Trent Ichimura for your awesome help with the girls during this championship. and Jimbo Pirtle for helping both sides with your knowledge and expert opinions on bowling.
Lastly, thank you Principal Halfmann, AD Reid Shigemasa, Asst AD Mike Pang and the Pearl City community for supporting and believing in your PCHS Coaches.
