I would like to thank Mary Villamil for her support of the Rotary Club of Pearlridge and Mana Loa Nimitz Lions Club and their efforts to serve our Pearl City, Aiea and other communities on Oahu through volunteer projects that truly make a difference while bettering the lives of residents and their ohana. Mary is born and raised in Pearl City and is a lifelong resident. I have known her since we were both thirteen years old and from an early age, she has always helped others.
Mary recently volunteered her time with me and the Mana Loa Nimitz Lions Club at the Punchbowl National Cemetery to place American flags on graves in honor, respect, and remembrance of fallen heroes representing World War II heroes from the 442nd and 100th Battalion. Mana Loa Nimitz Lions Club volunteers were given 180 flags and worked in teams of two to place thirty flags on the heroes’ graves.
Mary Villamil is the Heart and Soul of caring for others. She is filled with a wonderful and beautiful spirit of Aloha. As a registered nurse and Healthcare manager, Mary spends her day helping and mending others, and on most weekends, Mary also volunteers her time in support of the needs of the community.
Mahalo Mary!
