Radford QB Afi Togafau led a potent Rams offense to a 63-22 pounding of the visiting Pearl City Chargers last night in Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I Football played at Radford High School. Togafau had an outstanding performance through the air and on the ground. Togafau completing 16-18 passes for 360 yards and 6 touchdowns with no interceptions. The talented Rams QB also rushed for 82 yards on 10 carries. Caius Johnson rushed for 73 yards on 18 carries and 1 touchdown
Radford wide receiver Michael Robinson was the top performer on the receiving end of Togafau’s ariel assault hauling in 6 passes for 215 yards and 4 touchdowns. Zeke Schulz caught 1 pass for 64 yards and a touchdown.
Pearl City QB Ikaika Torres completed 5-10 passes for 187 yards with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception in a backup role. Starter Jonah Galanto completed 8-11 passesfor 66 yards ad 1 interception. Charger wide receiver Javian Mizuno caught 5 passes for 112 yards and I touchdown. Keaton Tomas caught 3 passes for 91 yards and 1 touchdown.
Lennon Elder led the Chargers ground game rushing for 88 yards on 6 carries and 1 touchdown.
Pearl City (0-3 league 0-5 overall) returns to league play against Moanalua (3-0 league, 5-1 overall) on Friday, October 4 at Pearl City High School. The Chargers will be celebrating Homecoming. Kickoff is set for 7:30pm
Radford (2-1 league, 3-2 overall) will host Aiea (1-1 league, 3-1 overall) on Saturday, October 5 at Radford High School. Kickoff is set for 6:30pm.
