The visiting Waialua Bulldogs (1-2) and Pearl City Chargers (2-1) battled in a tough Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division I Girls Varsity Volleyball match-up on Thursday at Pearl City High School with the Bulldogs notching their first win of the season in a 5 set marathon: 25-19, 21-25, 27-25, 26-27, 6-15. Both teams were evenly matched splitting four sets, but the Bulldogs dominated the final set for the win.
With the loss, the Chargers were knocked out of the unbeaten ranks, but have a chance to improve on their 2-1 league record as they take on the Waipahu Marauders (1-2) at Waipahu High School on Tuesday, September 17 with first serve scheduled for 7:00pm.
