The Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association continued their annual financial support of Pearl City Complex Schools on Monday, September 9, 2024, with $1000.00 check donations presented to Lehua Elementary School and Palisades Elementary School. Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association Board members Irwin Santos and me, Barry Villamil proudly presented both schools with their check donations.

Irwin and I started out at 8:30am Monday morning with a check presentation at Lehua Elementary School where we were met by Ms. Margaret Yamamoto and a wonderful group of students representing the school’s Aloha Ambassadors.  They were great and excited to receive the check donation. Lehua Elementary School Aloha Ambassadors will be heading off soon to the Pearl City District Complex Aloha Ambassadors Conference to be held at Pearl City High School. They are scheduled to make a presentation while representing their school as Aloha Ambassadors.

Our second PCSC Merchants Association $1000.00 check donation presentation followed Lehua Elementary School at 9:15am at Palisades Elementary School. Irwin and I presented Principal Gavin Tsue and Vice Principal Jan Kanaeholo with the check donation. It was great to catch up with Principal Tsue and Vice Principal Kanaeholo and receive fantastic news about an outstanding team of students who recently received National recognition and awards in scholastic competition held in Tennessee. We also learned that the school will be celebrating its 60th Anniversary during the 2024-2025 school year. Congratulations!

The annual Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association $1000.00 check donations rotate between the eight Pearl City Elementary Schools (two schools per school year) in support of their financial needs that help benefit educational programs and extra-curricular activities.

Mahalo to Pearl City Shopping Center owner Duane Kurisu and the Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association for generously and proudly supporting our Pearl City Complex Schools from elementary (8 elementary schools), middle school (Highlands Intermediate), and high school (Pearl City High School).
