I always believed that Hawaii high School Flag Football would be a popular and overwhelming success. The flag football excitement for me started years ago covering the annual Pearl City Chargers Homecoming week that featured the Powder Puff Flag Football Championship that matched up Seniors vs. Sophomores and Juniors vs. Freshmen.
The games are always exciting with a lot of talent at every position. The competition between the classes is very competitive with athletic participants on both sides of the ball.
I can’t wait to cover the games. Fans and supporters will be thrilled to watch the girls play and cheer them on.
Thank you to the HHSAA!
I would like to share a couple photos from a 2011 Charger Homecoming Powder Puff Championship Classic. Also, a link below to a Charger Homecoming Powder Puff Championship held in 2015.
GO CHARGERS!
