Bernal comes through from the mound and at the plate in Pearl City’s 11-2 take down of visiting Leilehua

Noah Bernal led the Pearl City Chargers to a 11-2 victory over the Leilehua Mules on Wednesday in Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division I Baseball played at Pearl City High School. Bernal earned the win over the Mules pitching 5 innings while allowing 2 runs, 5 hits with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. Bernal also went 2-4 at the plate with 3 RBI and a run scored. Awesome performance!

Pearl City’s Jace Loreno pitched 2 innings in relief of Bernal to closed it out for the Chargers pitching 2 innings while allowing no runs and 1 hit.

Koen Barton took the loss for Leilehua allowing 2 runs, 4 hits with 5 walks over 3 innings. Barton also went 2-3 at the plate. Zayden Winter (1.6) and Jordan Orillo (1.3) pitched in relief for Mules.

The Chargers had outstanding performances at the plate by Logan Honma 1-3, double, 2 RBI, run scored: Jace Noda 1-2, RBI, 3 runs scored; Devin Fujino 2-3, RBI, run scored.

Hurley Awana hit 1-3 with a triple, 1 RBI and 1 run scored for the Mules.
