The Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association, Lung Kong Physical Culture Club, and the Pearl City community came together Friday night to join in the 2024 Chinese New Year of Dragon Celebration held at the Pearl City Shopping Center. The Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association continued it long lasting tradition and partnership with the Lung Kong Physical Culture Club, led by Director Ernie Loo to wish good luck and prosperity to Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants with a traditional Lion Dance blessing throughout the property with Pearl City residents and shopping center patrons also participating in the celebration to welcome in the Chinese New Year.
A friendly and enthusiastic crowd gathered at around 5:00pm while mingling amongst friends and neighbors and PCSC Merchants in anticipation for the Chinese New Year of the Dragon Celebration that began at 5:30pm fronting American Savings Bank (Makai side of the shopping center) with the traditional lighting of fireworks and Lion Dance blessing. The Chinese New Year of Dragon Celebration ended in the same location at around 7:30pm with more fireworks and Lion Dance blessings.
The Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association is proud to annually support Director Ernie Loo and the Lung Kong Physical Culture Club with a $1000.00 check donation that financially assists the Lung Kong Physical Culture Club’s commitment to youth service programs while building upon the future and prosperity of the Chinese culture in Hawaii.
Mahalo to the those who participated in Friday night’s 2024 Chinese New Year of Dragon Celebration at the Pearl City Shopping Center while also supporting the Lung Kong Physical Culture Club and wonderful Chinese culture.
