Pearl City Elementary School hosted “Flurries of Fun” for the second year in row on Friday, December 8, much to the delight of the school ohana who were filled with the Christmas spirit while enjoying a fun night together.
James Suster, Principal, Pearl City Elementary School
“We started to have this Flurries of Fun event last year as everyone comes back to campus after COVID. We wanted to have some kind of Christmas celebration. It went really well last year so we’re trying to make it even better this year. It’s important because families want to be in school, and we try to have on average parent events about once a month so parents can feel engaged in school.“
At the event that ran from 5:30pm-7:00pm, families decorated ornaments, took pictures with Santa, played games, tried out a mini putting green — learned about golf, and much, much, more from Brandon Straight and his First Tee Hawaii Team, and were also served ono snacks.
Lucky families also won fantastic prizes from generous Flurries of Fun sponsors just in time for Christmas!
Mahalo to Principal Suster and his incredible Pearl City Elementary School administration and staff for inviting me to attend and capture the special moments of families enjoying time together during the Flurries of Fun event and Holiday season of giving.
Also, mahalo for the ono nachos, macadamia nut cookie, and wonderful Christmas ornament!
Wishing you and your ohana a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday season!
