Congratulations to the Pearl City Chargers who defeated the visiting Aiea Na Ali’i last night in 5 sets, 25-22, 25-20, 22-25, 15-25, 16-14 in OIA Varsity Girls Volleyball regular season play.
In a back-and-forth 5th set, and with the score tied at 14-14, the Chargers won the final 2 points to win the set and pick up their second win of the OIA regular season.
Whitney Kilton led the Chargers in scoring with an outstanding performance scoring 14 kills and 2 aces.
Falikipaame Taufa led the Na Ali’i and all scorers with 16 kills, 2 aces, 3 assists, and 1 dig.
Pearl City and Aiea are both 2-6 in regular season standings.
Pearl City will travel to Waipahu (2-7) to take on the Marauders on Monday, October 16.
