Pearl City defeated Ewa Beach 12-2 after four innings of play due to the 10-run rule on Sunday to advance to the 2023 Hawaii Little League Majors District 7 Championship title game on Tuesday. Dylan Kao pitched four complete innings to earn the win for Pearl City. Lucas Omeara got he start for Ewa Beach with Aaron Batulanon pitching in relief of Omeara.
Pearl City got off to a quick start scoring 5 runs in the bottom of first inning, 2 runs in the bottom of the second inning, 3 runs in the bottom of third inning, and 2 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Ewa Beach scored their 2 runs of the ball game in the top of the fourth inning.
Pearl City will play the winner of Monday’s Waipio vs. Ewa Beach game in Tuesday’s D7 championship title game. Waipio defeated Waialua 4-1 on Sunday to advance to Monday’s match-up with Ewa Beach. Waialua was eliminated from the tournament with the loss to Waipio.
