Pearl City battled their way out of the loser’s bracket of the 2023 Hawaii Little League District 7 10-year-old championship tournament after defeating a tough Ewa Beach all-star team 10-6 on Sunday at Puuloa Field in Ewa Beach.
Pearl City will take on Waialua on Monday with the winner advancing to the Tuesday, July 4 tournament championship game against Waipio who defeated Waialua on Sunday 14-4. Waipio earned a bye with Sunday’s win and will await Monday’s Pearl City vs. Waialua winner for the championship.
Waipio (2-0) has defeated both Pearl City 10-5, and Waialua 14-4 in District 7 championship tournament play.
First pitch for Monday’s Pearl City vs. Waialau game is scheduled for 2:00pm.
