Congratulations to Waiau Elementary School third graders Aiden Bautista and Kalehuanani Simpliciano who both received 2022-2023 Good Citizen Awards from the Rotary Club of Pearlridge on Friday during the end of year awards assembly held in the school’s cafeteria.
Rotary Club of Pearlridge President Dick Mosko presented Aiden and Kalehuanani with a congratulatory letter and a $50.00 check. The two Good Citizen Award recipients were selected by their third-grade teachers for best exemplifying the Principles of Rotary International’s Four Way Test.
In the beginning of the school year, Rotary Club of Pearlridge members donated free dictionaries to the Waiau Elementary School third grade students and their teachers during a presentation in their classrooms as a part of Hawaii Rotary District 5000 Dictionary Project. Each dictionary featured the Four Way Test which the students were asked to practice during the school year. They all did a great job with Aiden and Kalehuanani being selected as this year’s Good Citizen Award winners.
