Nanakuli put together a four-run rally in the bottom of the fifth inning to take a 5-2 lead and held Pearl City to single runs in the top of the sixth and seventh innings to earn a 5-4 win in the season finale for both teams in OIA Western Division I regular season baseball played at Nanakuli on Thursday.
Donald Kapaku earned the win for the Golden Hawks pitching seven complete innings while allowing 4 runs, 10 hits, with 4 strikeouts. Kapaku also batted 1-3 with a RBI and run scored. Pearl City’s Tyler Nishimura took the loss in relief for the Chargers.
Both Pearl City and Nanakuli finished the regular season with 5-7 records.
