The Aiea Na Ali’i defeated the Pearl City Chargers 3-2 on Wednesday in OIA Western Division I Baseball played at Pearl City High School. The Na Ali’i swept the two game regular season series with the Chargers. With the win, Aiea improved to 4-4 in regular season league standings, while Pearl City dropped to 2-6 and sits at the bottom of league standings.
Aidan Yoshida earned the win for the Na Ali’i pitching 6 innings while allowing no runs, 3 hits, with 3 strikeouts. Jonah Takeda got the start pitching 1 inning while allowing 2 runs, 3 hits, with 2 strikeouts.
Pearl City’s Drew Boyles got the start and took the loss for the Chargers allowing 3 runs, 4 hits with 5 strikeouts in 5 innings of work. Jayden Mizuno pitched 2 innings in relief allowing no runs, 1 hit with 2 strikeouts.
