Pearl City's Joshua Gleason recorded what could possibly be one the most impressive performances by a Charger wide receiver scoring on 5 receiving touchdowns as the Chargers routed the visiting McKinley Tigers 52-14 last night at Pearl City High Schools Edwin Bino Neves Stadium.
Gleason scored on the Chargers opening possession on offense to start the ball game on a 60 touchdown connection from QB Sefo Feesago. Gleason and Feesago also connected on scoring strikes of 18, 11, and 11 yards. Gleason scored his fifth touchdown on an 80 yard reception from Charger back up QB Ryan Littlejohn.
Charger QB Sefo Feesago completed 13 of 19 for 241 yards with 5 touchdowns and 1 INT. Feesago also rushed for 74 yards on 5 carries.
McKinley QB Dustin Chow competed 25 of 38 for 303 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 INT’s.
Pearl City improved to 5-3 while McKinley remained winless at 0-7.
The Chargers will finish out the regular season against a tough Kalani Falcons team with winner taking home third place in final regular season league standings. Both teams did make it to the post season OIA D2 Football playoff. The Chargers will take on the visiting Falcons at home on Friday, December 10 with kick-off set for 7:30pm.
In last night’s junior varsity contest played at Edwin Bino Neves Stadium, Pearl City defeated Moanalua 29-24.
