Mahalo to the all the generous food and cash donations from our community in support of this past Saturday's 25th Annual National Letter Carrier Food Drive. Volunteers representing our students, Military, community organizations, and businesses manned the Pearl City food and cash collection site at the Pearl City Post Office.
Letter carriers passed out blue collection bags during the week of May 2 and collected the bags on Saturday, May 13 while servicing their mail delivery routes in our community.
All food and cash donations go to the Hawaii Foodbank in support of their efforts to feed and nourish Hawaii's needy families and children. This year’s goal was to surpass last year's statewide total of 526,000 pounds of food of which 412,135 pounds were collected on Oahu in the single-day food drive.
Mahalo to Adele Yoshikawa, food drive coordinator and Pearl City letter carrier and all the men and women of the United States Postal Service who make a difference each year in support of the Annual National Letter Carrier Food Drive.
Mahalo to my fellow Rotary Club of Pearlridge (RCOP) Board Members and supporters led by RCOP President Andrew Muccio who once again supported the community through "Service Above Self".
Mahalo for all your donations!
