The Pearl City High School Athletics Program was well represented at the 2016 Oahu Interscholastic Association Awards Banquet held at the Ala Moana Hotel on Friday, June 17, 2016. PCHS Athletics experienced a banner year in both OIA Varsity and Junior Varsity sports winning OIA team and individual championships as well Hawaii High School Athletics Association state team and individual championships.
PCHS athletics was recognized by the OIA Friday night for winning HHSAA State Championships in Girls Air Riflery, Girls & Boys Bowling, and Girls Varsity Soccer along with HHSAA State Championship runner-up finishes in Varsity Baseball and Girls Varisty Judo.
Congratulations to Principal Joseph Halfmann, PCHS Athletic Director Reid Shigemasa, PCHS coaches, student athletes, athletic trainers Kim Imamoto and Colin Lee, and the entire PCHS ohana for an outstanding and very successful 2015-2016 year in sports.
