I would like to wish you and your ohana a very Merry Christmas! Today is a special day, one in which family and friends come together to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus. It is also a day that we give gifts of joy to those in our lives that we love and also to those in need in our community.
A card, a phone call, a hug, a meal, shelter, a prayer, special moments that make a difference in the spirit and joy of Christmas.
On this Christmas Day I pray for my cousin Gregory who is in intensive care after suffering a stroke late last week. He's my buddy, and more like a brother than a cousin. As our family gathers together each day at his bedside to pray and breath hope and encouragement so that he may continue to fight to survive and recover from his illness, we also offer the "power of prayer" to those this holiday season who may be in a similar situation.
