Pearl City beats Ewa Beach 10-6 in 9/10 District 7 Little League tourney

Pearl City defeated Ewa Beach 10-6 on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the District 7 Hawaii Little League 9 &10 Championship Tournament played at Puuiki Field in Waialua.

Pearl City moves on in the winners bracket and will face Waipio in the semifinals on Saturday, June 14. First pitch is scheduled for 10:00am at Puuiki Field. Waipio defeated tournament host Waialua 14-0 on Thursday to advance to the semifinals.

Losers Bracket doubleheader match-ups:

Friday, June 13

12:00pm – Waialua vs. Waipahu 

3:00pm – Nanakuli vs. Ewa Beach 

Winners advance to the semifinals of the double elimination championship tournament on Saturday, June 14 at 1:00pm.

score from third on a pass ball at the plate that put Pearl City up 2-0 in the bottom of the first inning.

Pearl City's Mark Moreno drills a double to centerfield in the bottom of the

first inning. Moreno's double moved Niko Soma into scoring position at third

base. Soma scored on a sac RBI by Karter Wong that put Pearl City up 3-0.
