The Hawaii High School Athletics Association announced the 2012 HHSAA All Tournament Team yesterday after Waiakea defeated Baldwin 5-2 to capture the 2012 Wally Yonamine Foundation Division I Baseball Championship Title.
The newly crowned state champion Waiakea Warriors of the BIIF landed four players on the all tournament team including the Most Outstanding Player that went to Quintin Torres-Costa who pitched six out of seven hitless innings with thirteen strikeouts in the championship win over the Baldwin Bears.
Pearl City placed three players, Tyler Tokunaga (INF), Tanner Tokunaga (OF), and Sumi Pruett (U). All three Chargers rotated in and out of multiple positions in the four games played in the championship tournament.
