The Mililani Lady Trojans kept pace to challenge for an OIA Championship and a state championship berth after defeating Pearl City 14-4 in OIA Red Division Girls Varsity Water Polo played on Wednesday at the Veterans Memorial Aquatics Center in Waipio.The Lady Trojans improved their record to 8-1 overall in the second round (Bracket B) of the regular season. The Lady Chargers dropped to 4-5 (Bracket A) in league play. Mililani suffered their only loss of the season to Kahuku 11-8 on April 7th. Kahuku sits atop the Bracket A division at 8-0.
Mililani's Cassie Kawamata had a great performance after leading all scorers with 6 goals. Pearl City's Kylie Hong led the Lady Chargers with 2 goals.
The Lady Chargers will travel to Kaimuki High School on Saturday, April 14 to take on the Kalaheo Lady Mustangs. The match is scheduled for 2:00pm.
