Moanalua moved on in the Oahu Interscholastic Association's Red Division Girls Varsity Soccer Championship Playoffs with a 1-0 quarterfinal victory over Pearl City last night at Moanalua High School.
Moanalua's #9 Chelcie Sugioka was the hero for the Lady Menenhune after kicking the winning goal midway through the second half. Sugioka's goal advanced the Lady Menehune (8-0-3) to today's 5:30pm semifinal match up with Mililani (10-0-1) at Kapolei High School. Mililani defeated Campbell (6-4-2) in the first of two quarterfinals games played last night at Moanalua High School.
In quarterfinal action played last night at Kaiser High School, top seed Kaiser (10-0-1) defeated Kailua (5-3-4) 1-0 and Kapolei (10-0-1) blanked Aiea ((5-7-0) 3-0.
Kaiser and Kapolei will meet in tonight's semifinal night cap scheduled for 7:00pm at Kapolei High School.
Pearl City (7-1-4) dropped to the consolation bracket and will face Campbell tonight at 5:30pm at Pearl City High School's Edwin "Bino" Neves Stadium. Aiea will play Kailua at 7:00pm.
