The Pearl City Chargers Cross Country Junior Varsity Boys won the 2011 Oahu Interscholastic Association (OIA) Junior Varsity Boys Cross Country Championship held at Waialua High School on Saturday, October 15.
Paul Enriquez dominated the boys race and breezed to an easy 1st place finish with a time of 17:07:63. Chase Arguelles finished 5th, Nicholas Au finished 12th, Devin Ajimine finished 14th, and Matt Iwane finished 22nd.
The team is comprised of one sophomore (Paul Enriquez) and four freshmen (Chase, Nicholas, Devin, and Matt).
Freshman Kailee Eli, Pearl City's only junior varsity girl's runner, took 4th place in the OIA junior varsity girls individual standings.
